I am a LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), and Founding Partner of Solace Counseling and Anxiety Center.
I graduated from Texas A&M University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I also earned a Masters degree in Professional Counseling from Amberton University. In addition to working in a group practice I have also worked in an inpatient hospital setting.
I have been married for 16 years and have two wonderful children ages 13 and 11. As a family we attend South Spring Baptist Church.
I have experience working with a broad spectrum of clients. I enjoy working with adolescents, teens and adults. My areas of expertise include: Anxiety, OCD, Depression, Anger, Boundaries, Grief/Loss, Relationships, Communication, and Self-Worth.
To be a more effective therapist I frequently attend conferences and educational workshops to further my training. I focus a large portion of my continued education on trainings that involve Anxiety Disorders and OCD. I have attended Level 1 and Level 2 Gottman Training for Marital Counseling. I am a professional member of the International OCD Foundation.
My goal for the therapeutic relationship is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
I look forward to working with you!
